The Division of Youth Services (DYS), Volunteer Program is tasked to develop and implement volunteerism and community participation projects. The Volunteer Program which is under the Division works collaboratively with other units and programs in providing opportunities for clients and interested community members in becoming more proactive in solving problems in which have an effect on our community. Community Volunteers are the backbone of the Volunteer Program. We embrace the philosophy that through volunteerism, the community can improve the lives of our next generation by sharing their abilities to provide meaningful activities, resources and to help promote the educational, emotional, and spiritual growth in our children. Particularly within our culture that is becoming so focused on economic gain. |
