To provide in-home family support services. Such as Respite Care, where a volunteer will help care for the children and provide emotional support to the parents by giving the parents a time-out for themselves; or to Supervised -Visitations, where a volunteer will help supervise visits between children in out of home placement and their parents, caretaker, or other siblings. Child Care To provide child care services for parents who are enrolled in the Commonsense Parenting Class, parent meetings with DYS, and for DYS sponsored conferences or workshops. Mentoring Services To read story books to children; To be a role model for a child or to take a children out on a family picnic; To provide guidance; Adopt-a-child/family for a day, a week, or a month period. Administrative Services To assist DYS with clerical works such as: Computer programing, Data input, Marketing, Advertisements, Transportation services, for clients to work sites. Special Projects To assist with projects such as For the Children Campaign during the month of April, or to coordinate the Christmas gift fund/food drive for the DYS's needy children; or to assist staff during Summer Youth Sports Camp and/or the Summer Day Camp and other related projects.. |
